LMCA Bylaws Proposed Changes
The LMCA Bylaws Committee has reviewed the Association’s current Bylaws and identified several proposed updates to improve clarity, consistency, and flexibility. The proposed revisions include moving dues, pricing, and detailed membership eligibility requirements to the Policy Document; adding Lifetime Membership to Hathaway-Ritter Honorary Members; providing flexibility for extraordinary circumstances affecting the Annual Meeting; clarifying Board composition, terms, and annual rotation; and establishing consistent terminology for the LMCA Board.
The proposed changes will be presented to the membership for consideration and vote at the 2026 LMCA Annual Meeting in Lake Charles. The current Bylaws and a document outlining the proposed revisions are provided for membership review prior to the meeting. All suggested changes are highlighted in the Bylaws Suggested Modifications Document. Voting will be conducted electronically through Election Runner, the same platform used for LMCA Board elections. Mission Statement
We provide a platform for educational resources and opportunities through publications, meetings and workshops, as well as guidance and technical direction for those in need. Association leadership works closely with state regulators to assure competency within operations and vigilance on legislative matters. Through this we are able to uphold our mission of enhancing the quality of life through the suppression of mosquitoes for all here in Louisiana.
